WI Social Group Get-together

On Wednesday, 28th January three local WI Groups got together in St David’s Church Hall, Resolven for a ‘Bring and Buy’ event. All the items were contributed and donated by the WI members and carefully arranged and displayed as seen in the photograph below.

Glynneath, Crynant and Resolven WI’s meet about three times a year and Resolven were Hosts for the afternoon. Tea and coffee was served along with an amazing selection of cakes which looked extremely appetising, and indeed tasted as good as they looked.

As seen in the photographs, the tables were decorated with early fresh daffodils which was a gentle reminder that Spring is not too far away and getting closer as the days get longer..

The above photograph shows Lt to Rt – Beverley Boyd (Glynneath WI), Jenny Colley (Ynysfach/Resolven WI) and Rhian James (Crynant WI).

Just before the meeting concluded, it was time to call out the winning raffle numbers for the many prizes on offer. Each member had been given a free raffle ticket on arrival.

All the proceeds of the day will be shared between the three WI Groups. A good social afternoon was enjoyed by all who attended.
