Make up for the ‘Operas’ for a while was in the hands of the Funnings – Neville and Frank who were part of the team
And John Rees’ painting of the scenery looked so wonderfully artistic and real, it was perfect for every scene
Viv Hill took over the lead in many a Resolven Operatic Society show
And Franz Lehar’s ‘Merry Widow’ was one of his finest as his leading ladies go
Resolven Carnivals and Fete & Galas were colourful, well known spectacles to see
Bringing village life and its community as close as they would ever likely to be
Who remembers the parading Zulus, and the Jews Band who had many a story to tell
